Does Intake Of Clozaril Cause Hair Loss?
I just visited my son at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital & he s losing his hair in clumps. Can Clozaril cause this/ he is also a diabetic. I just saw that I have to pay for an answer-I am divorced & just lost my job so am unable to pay for an answer..............great...........

Clozaril does not hair loss. It might be due to other cause such as alopecia areata, mental stress, androgenic alopecia, nutritional deficiency and anti-diabetic drugs.
Advice
1. Take high protein diet such as eggs, cheese, meat, fruits and milk
2. Minoxidil 5% gel – 1 mL every 12 hours for local application in scalp for 4 months
3. Take an over the counter nutritional supplement for 3 months
