General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Crestor is a statin used to maintain or reduce the levels of lipids. Depression is an infrequent side effect of statins, if any. Rather some of the studies even point towards a low depression rates among users of statins as compared to others. Therefore for practical purpose it should be taken, that statins do not cause any increased or decreased incidence of depression till proved otherwise by some larger study.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
