Does Intake Of Diclofenac Help In Treating Asymptomatic Atrial Fibrillation?
Being 76 and having asymptomatic AFIB, I THINK I have read (heard my electrocardiologist say?) that I should try to avoid NSAID such as diclofenac c sodium. I take flecainide (rhythm) and Eliquis (anticoagulant) Having a periodic back condition, an ortho-doc proscribed diclofenac to be taken twice a day. What say you?
Hello, Thanks for the query. There are reports that in patients taking Diclofenac for long time, atrial fibrillation has been reported. Therefore, if a person has already Atrial fibrillation, then a drug like Diclofenac sodium should better be avoided. Some other pain killer may be selected like Tramadol. Thanks.
