Does Intake Of Garcinia Cambogia And Vital Cleanse Weight Loss Supplements Cause Seizures?

Hello, I am considering purchasing Garcinia Cambogia and Vital Cleanse Complete as a combined weightloss supplement. I am wanting to know if it will stimulate seizures as I have epilepsy and on 2000mgs of Epilim daily yet have not had a seizure in 14 years so it has been stabilized to a degree. I also take Diazepam occasionally for the odd panic attack. I would like to try the combination but not sure if it will bring on a seizure.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the Garcinia Cambogia can be consumed when another anti epileptic drug intake is going on. The side effect profile include:
- Upset stomach and bloating
- Diarrhea
- Dizziness
- Dry mouth

There is no documentation of that to cause seizures.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
