Does Intake Of Hydrocodone Help In Treating Chronic Pancreatitis?

I have chronic pancreatitis. I have been prescribed Hydrocodone for pain, which works well most of the time. However, if the pain worsens, I then have to go to the ER, which is 200.00 a pop. I can t afford that. Is it reasonable to ask my doc for something stronger to have for emergent situations? Of course it s not for continued use, but I just can t afford 200.00 each time my pancreatitis flares up to where my current meds won t work. What do you think?

You can take nsaids and tab bascopan whenever it worsen up and if pain becomes too much, can take inj bascopan this will provide you relief
