Does Intake Of Levothyroxine Help Reduce Free T4 And TSH Levels?

It s been 32 years since I experienced a very high thyroid and was treated twice with radioactive iodine. I have been on medication since then. Now the Free T4 and TSH are elevated. My doctor thinks its adenomas. I am on a high dose of Levathroxine for 6 weeks. Will this help the numbers go down? I don t quite understand what adenoma is. Thank you.

The pituitary gland is situated in the brain and is responsible for secreting different hormones which control the other hormone-secreting glandules in the body, one of them being the thyroid gland. Adenoma is a tumor of the pituitary gland that can impair the secretion of the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). You ought to have an MRI and the dosing of the other pituitary hormones. This condition may sometimes need surgical treatment.
