Does Intake Of Metformin And Lisinopril Cause Delay In Periods?
I currently take Metformin for Type 2 diabetes along with Lisinopril and Adderall (20mg) once per day. I have been on the adderall for two years and the metformin and lisinopril since July 1. Can this med. combo cause a delay in my period. My cycle is normal 25-26 days without fail. I am now 22 days late. I had a tubal ligation 16 year ago. I am 43 years old
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... First of all intake of Metformin and Lisinopril doesn't cause delay in periods.
As you are 43 years old, you should know that you may be approaching menopause. Irregular periods are first sign of approaching menopause. Menopause is time period in woman's life (typically between 40 & 50 years) when she stops ovulating & hence periods stops.
refer to your gynaecologist for further queries.
Hoping your query is solved Take care
