Does Intake Of Metronidazole, Mucinex-D And Olopatadine Cause Insomnia And Nightmares?

I have been having trouble sleeping to include nightmares for about two weeks, the same time I started two new meds...metronidazole (metrogel) and mucinex D. I also take levocetrizine dihydro (xyzal) and re-startred olopatadine hydrochloride (pantanase) after one month off. Is it possible that any of these meds cause or contribute to my sleep issues? Hello,

Metronidazole doesn’t influence in your sleep. Levocetirizine and olopatadine as antihistamines give somnolence, they help you sleep.

Meanwhile, Mucinex D contain Pseudoephedrine that is a decongestant and can make your heart race or make you feel anxious and restless.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
