Does Intake Of Misoprostol Cause Infertility Issues?
i had a miscarriage in June 2016 and doctor gave me 15 tablets of cytotecs oral to remove remains and after one week i went for ultrasound checkup and she found that there was still some remains, she recommended me another dose of cytotec 15tablets for 5 days.and till now i don t conceive again.
Hello dear I understand your concern Misoprostol cause infertility in extremely rare case. Commonly it does not cause infertility issue. But high dose can cause excessive bleeding, and severe abdominal cramp, diarrhea and nausea like side effects. Dose of misoprostol is maximum three time in 800 ug every 8 hour. You had already used high dose of misoprostol. I advised you to consult the experienced gynecologist and undergo minor surgical procedure like D & C to remove the remained product. Surgery has high success rate and chance of bleeding is less. Hope this may help you
