General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are taking norethisterone which is causing you not to have a period. The spotting is showing that your body is ready to have a period but you are not letting it to happen. I can't advice you to take norethisterone without a clear medical condition. You are interfering in your normal cycle so the spotting is normal to happen in this situation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
