Does Intake Of Prilosec Help In Developing The Stomach Lining?

My last pcm had me on Naproxen for over 2 yrs and it ate my stomach lining out. My ? is, can my stomach lining grow back? I have been on Prilosec for over 3 yrs now and off of NSaids completely since finding out about my lining and also a Hiatal hernia.

Hi , Prilosec is a proton pump inhibitor and so reduces the gastric acid production and your symptom of gastritis due to NSAIDS . The stomach lining will be healing by itself. In case you have not taken NSAIDS for 2 years it would have healed by now . You can slowly start stoping Prilosec under follow up with a physician.
