Does Intake Of Progesterone Cause Delay In Periods?

I am 16 days after IUI. I was told to take progesteron suppository (3 times a day) until a test was performed. I stopped taking after the test was negative. But I still do not have my period. Is it likely that another test may be positive after a longer time or the progesteron suppository may cause a delay in the period.

Dear patient
Both possibility are true. Progesterone helps in maintaining pregnancy and it also delays period. So you should wait for more two weeks. If you get menses pregnancy is ruled out. And if you do not get menses go for urine pregnancy test and if it's positive be happy. All the best.
