General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
Yes, Alcohol consumption interferes the healing process following a fracture.
Drinking alcohol decreases bone mineral density & bone strength, slows down the bone fracture repair thus impairing the bone healing after a fracture.
It delays the healing but does not cause non-union. Stop consuming Alcohol or Alcohol containing beverages, take Vitamin D and Calcium supplements and a diet rich in first class proteins such as meat, fish, poultry and milk to help the process of healing.
Hope this will work for you.
Regards
