Does Intake Of Birth Control Pills Cause Early Periods With Heavy Bleeding?
I started birth control on January 31st. I started having a period on Thursday, February 11 and it has continued since then, even though I am supposed to be starting my period this upcoming week. It s pretty heavy flow consistently which is unusual for me. I also had sex on the 12th, 13th, and 14th. Should I be concerned or is this seemingly normal because this is my first pack of birth control? Everything I ve found online up to this point says that spotting is normal, but I haven t really found anything about an actual heavy period. Thanks!

Does Intake Of Birth Control Pills Cause Early Periods With Heavy Bleeding?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic Spotting or irregular bleeding is possible with the use of hormonal contraception. This reaction or side effect may or may not occur. In some women, the effect decreases with time so it is possible that with your other packs, you may not get this effect. If it continues then your doctor can switch to an alternative that may suit you better. I hope this helps
