Does Intake Of Carbonated Beverages Cause Excessive Burping?

I think I ve found the answer to my question on the website. Recently I ve been drinking more carbonated beverages than usual and have been burping after I eat any thing. The burp is only once and occurs after eating without also drinking the carbonated beverage. If I stop the carbonated beverages will the burping stop? Thanks, Nancy 69 years old, 155lbs.
