Does Intake Of Diuretics Increase The Blood And Co2 Levels?
I just got back my annual blood test and my co2 test result was a 33. I am a 68 yr old female in good health. I do take a mild diuretic daily so could this be the reason? I am leaving the country for ten days and will not have a chance to speak to me physician before leaving. Should I be concerned or is this just a mild elevation and not worry?
In my opinion you should not worry. Mild diuresis has no impact on co2 levels. Since you are asymptomatic no need to take tension. And 33 pco2 is normal. No need to worry about it.
