hi i have problem in hereditary hair loss problem. With consult with a doctor i have been using dr reddy 's finax 1mg tablet(finasteride) & dr reddy 's mintop lotion.But few daays before i know about the fact that finax side effect causes impotance. i become heavily scared now. please advise me about finax tablet causes impotence Also advise if any other treatment can be carried out. Can i take vitamin /which vitamin tablet

Thanks for writing on HCM. Impotence is a drug related side effect of finasteride and observed in studies when it was used over a period of 4 years.It is not seen in all the patients who are using finasteride.Both the treatments that you are using are current standard of care for treatment of hair loss and needs to be changed only when there are problems or side effects which are troublesome.Otherwise they are relatively safe and can be continued without any worry.
