Does Intake Of Formula By An Infant Cause Recurring Burps?

Hi, My.baby is 2.5 months old.. when she.burp and produce gas sound become more like elders is it ok...?? And I am feeding formula bcoz mine is flat nipple and milk flow also low.. So formula is ok bcuz my some relatives told if having formula it effect to baby s future dat she may suffer from cough , cold and also effect to brain..is it true...????

Hi,

Baby friendly hospital initiative recommends exclusive (strict only breast milk) breast feeding for 6 months. Baby may suffer from artificial feeding especially infection because there is no immunity. Only breast milk give immunity to the baby, burping may happen due to low milk flow while baby is sucking it will swallow air along with the milk but no need to worry at all. Try to feed only breast milk and recurrent burping in normal thing in your baby.
