Does Intake Of Medication For Heart Cause Excessive Saliva With Mucus?
Coughing after Eating and drinking produces salva, sometimes muscusy all the time . It is very annoying as I have to clear the mucus with a tissue and this is embarrassing. I am on heart tablets and this condition has only commenced since a started. These medications. What can I do... So sick of it
I think you might be having stomach hyperacidity problems as you recently started heart medications.
I think you should run an upper endoscopy to rule it out. Plus if any of your meds is ACE inhibitor, should discuss with your caring doctor to rule out possible side effects. Discuss this further with your caring doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
