Does Intake Of Plan B Pill Along With Coke Impact Its Effectiveness?

Hi! I took a plan b pill about an hour ago (20 minutes after intercourse) and while it was still in my mouth drank a sip of Coke (soda) By MISTAKE. It started dissolving so I quickly swallowed it. Will this have any effect on the pill itself and how it works? Would you advise me to go get another pill and take it tomorrow? Please help, thank you.

Hi,

There is no documented evidence of decreased effectiveness of plan-B if taken along with coke.

Swallowing pills like plan-B with an ice-cold carbonated beverage like coke can aid in dissolving the pills quickly and help with swallowing.

Coke is not know to affect the contraceptive action of plan-B. So, there is no need to take another pill again.
