Does Intense Cold Lead To Fever & Pain In The Legs?

My son is 14 years old. He had a fever on Sunday of 103. Not unusual for him. Yesterday and today he just doesn't seem to be bouncing back. He says his legs ache a little today, but he doesn't hurt anywhere else. Is there a bug going around that I should be aware of or could it be the intense cold that we have been having?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Viral infections are prevalent and it is possible that this is the cause of his symptoms.
They can be associated with aches and pains along with fever.

The ambient temperature would not itself cause symptoms.

The use of rest, fluids and paracetamol may help at this stage.

If additional symptoms occur or his symptoms worsen then you can treat or take him to see his doctor.

I hope this helps
