Does Irregular Intake Of Birth Control Pills Cause Hormonal Imbalance?

is it a concern hormonally not to have a menstrual period due to being on birth control pills and skipping the last 7 pills to intentionally not have periods? does it affect the hormonal balance? could it affect inflammation in the body? thank you for your response. YYYY@YYYY

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Since birth control pills are hormonal in nature, it needs to be taken regularly. If it is taken irregularly, it would amount to disturbance in the secretion of hormones in the body normally and can cause its disturbances.
However, it does not amount to affect inflammation directly.
In case you have disturbance in the menstrual period, it needs to be regularized by intake of such pills as prescribed.
Kindly follow the medications that needs to be taken as scheduled.
