Does Laxative Abuse Lead To Nerve Damage In My Colons?

Hi, I just turned 25 and am extremely healthy and active. The only problem I have is that I used to abuse laxatives (senna). I am trying so hard to get off and have decreased the dose and almost never take anything except triphala, magnesium with lemon water and apple cider vinegar. However, none of my efforts seem to work. Is it possible that I have damaged the nerves in my colon forever? Or can I retrain my colon? Also, fibre only bloats me and I do a paleo diet so I do not react well to grains.
