Does Left-sided Pain In The Abdomen, Post Bronchitis, Take Long To Heal?

How long should it take to resolve pain in left upper abdomen, near/under chest ribs, which appeared after a persistent cough? I was diagnosed with Bronchitis & then pleurisy, and was told it is likely costochondritis, but it's been going on since January. It was very painful at that time, & it's much better now, but still nagging at times. Just wanted to see if this should be further checked. Thank you!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
This could be intercostal nerve inflammation causing pain
Try some neuropathic pain medicines like Gabapentine and if pain is severe consult interventional neurologist who can perform a intercostal nerve block in the site of rib pain.
