Does Masturbation Aggravate The UTI Symptoms?

hi doc, im 40yrs, male. im being treated for uti with cefixime. 15days course. started on 1st feb 2016, with 400mg one per day. one week passed. im feeling ok now. but i masturbated on 6th day and 7th day. on the second day of medicine, i had given urine culture test and the result came as scanty growth of s.aureus. does this urine culture test rule out possibilities of other bacteria (chlamydia and gonorrhea etc) present in urine? does masturbation aggravate or complicate issues?

Hello dear,
Understand your concern.
Yes urinary culture detect all the bacterial strain. So It can also detect chlamydia and gonorrhea.
But it is negative.
So you are on perfect treatment.
Masturbation can aggravate UTI if it will cause irritaion to the urethra and due to back re flux of urine tat aggravate bacteria deposition.
If after masturbation you do not pee or not was your penis propery, again it will aggravate UTI.
So take following advice.

1. Drink plenty of water
2. Acidify your urine by drinking cranberry juice and lemon juice.
3. Maintain hygiene
4. Wear loose inner wear of pure cotton quality
5. Do not do excessive masturbation. do moderate if necessary (Once in 5 day). Better to avoid.
6. Tablet paracetamol if fever is present
