Does Metal Smell In Nose And Sore Throat Need Medical Attention?

Hi, I have had a metal smell in my nose for a few days and today I have a sore throat and a head ache. I have had 2 brain surgeries with radiation therapy and history of a brain tumor. And I am a type 1 diabetic.I am just worried..is this something serious that I should be worried about or just a cold.... Thanks

Welcome in HCM.

I understand your concern and I would like to say that throat infection should never be taken lightly as strep infection is quite often identified in sore throat and if it is not treated properly serious systemic conditions may arise.

As you said you are diabetic and two brain surgeries are already in your medical history these all are signs for specialist care.

Metal smell is also indication for specialist care.
