I m a 30 yr old healthy female. At the age of 29 I had a right side ectopic and the doctors have removed my right fallopian tube. I concieved again after a gap of 6 mnths but had a miscarriage at the onset of 6 weeks. The doctor has asked me to do a torch test. The results show rubella Igg and CMV Igg positive. Could these torch test results be a cause of my miscarriage? confused.. help..
welcome to Health care magic. 1.Yes presence of TORCH infection can cause missed abortion. 2.Any immunological deficiency can cause missed abortion. 3.In your case the previous ectopic and post operative status of the fallopian tube - can be cause of missed abortion. 4.I would suggest first treat the cause - and plan to conceive. 5.I would recommend an ultrasound pelvis to assess the uterine, fallopian tube and ovaries status. Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
