Does Missing Few Birth Control Shots Cause Discharge From Vagina?
I've been on the depo shot for almost three years now. I accidentally got off of it for a few months (due to horrible appointment timing) and recently got it again two months ago. I've been having this brownish discharge come out for about a day. It's not spotty, its just gross and has these brown sacs in it? Plus I'm having small cramps. Is this normal?
your symptoms are quite normal, you need not worry. Side effects of taking depo shots commonly cause cramping. Other side effects are headache, changes in appetite, bloating, weight gain, tiredness, acne, swelling, etc. Vaginal bleeding between periods (spotting) or missed/irregular periods may occur after taking the shots & may continue for few months. As the body gets adjusted to the hormonal changes, these symptoms go away on their own.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
