Does Mouse Bite At 13 Weeks Pregnancy Needs Medical Attention?
Hi there
I'm needing some advice please, I'm 28 yrs old and currently about 13 wks pregnant. Today I got bitten by a field mouse while saving it from our cat. I washed my finger straight away and made it bleed as much as it would straight away. I then applied Detol. Should I be concerned? Under normal circumstances I wouldn't be too worried but reading all the information on the internet is making me really paranoid now. Please could you give me your opinion, thanks very much! Jess
Hi thanks for asking question in HCM. The bitten mouse to you may be healthy or it is infected. If mouse was healthy then few symptoms to you and no major rat bite fever. But if mouse was infected then it can transmitt you to infection with spirillosis or streptobacillosis. If you are not infected then you might have only redness at bitten site. But if you are infected then bitten site may shoe ulcer with fever and generalised rash , sometime enlarge lymph node or affected joint. If you show sign of infection then immediately contact doctor and antibiotic needed. I hope i have solve your query.
