Does Nausea And Blackout After A Fall Down The Stairs Need Medical Attention?
I fell down a small flight of stairs yesterday morning....hit my head and hurt my wrist.....was very nauseated and passed out . While I was passed out my husband said i was gurggling, my hands stared to draw up, and my eyes rolled back in my head. He said I was out for a few seconds. Have felt very sore today and have a slight headache. Do you think I should tell my PCP about this accident?
Based on your symptoms it looks like you had post traumatic seizure after your fall. Nausea, vomiting, headache and seizures are symptoms of brain insult after a fall. I personally feel you need to see a physician or a Neurologist or Neurosurgeon for a detailed evaluation. If required a CT scan of the brain will be done to rule out internal bleeding and injury
So see a specialist for a opinion at the earliest. I hope this helps you. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
