Sir my mother having squmous cell carcinoma rt lateral border of the tongue.in pet scan report type 2 subcentricular lymph node involment is there. Neck desection is need or not?After neck desection any Complications ?Any alternative treatments is there.

as it involves the lymph nodes so yes neck dissection wil be required. neck has major vessels so the great risk is of their damage during surgery.
so the surgeon should be experienced and good enough to do the surgery
