Does Nephrotic Syndrome And Polycystic Kidney Cause Tooth Decay In Children?
hi my son that is 8 years old has nephrotic syndrome and dominant polycystic kidney. He has recently been to the dentist and had 3 to 4 teeth badly decayed and breaking into pieces and I think his kidney issues have a big contributing factor to what has happened. Can you please tell me do you think it has an effect on his teeth.
Good day! Nephrotic syndrome and polycystic kidney disease can be corelated only in one way only is there is connective tissue involvement. in which case brain needs to evaluated too for aneurysms too. But never to think for long shots. Go for easy option. Commonest cause of tooth decay in children is poor hygiene and perverted diets. So instead of trying to be socrates of medicines and self diagnosing the kid it would be better to seek a near by dentist opinion to see what is going on. regards
