Does Nutritional Deficiencies Cause Dark Lines On The Sclera?
I have dark grey areas on the surface (corners) of both eyeballs... dark vertical lines that are not visible when I look straight on into a mirror. Wondering if this is symptomatic of some nutritional deficiency or other (or the result of taking vitamin suppliments?)? It has occurred within the last year. Any idea?

Dark spots on the sclera may simply be pigmented lesions and in most cases are benign.These lesions may be caused by Benign melanosis, Ocular melanosis, or Conjunctival melanosis though rare.
Nutritional deficiency like low vitamin A may give you eye changes and poor vision but in most cases, may not manifest with dark lines on sclera.
I will suggest you see the Ophthalmologist for examination.
