Does Obstructive Hydrocephalus With Pilocytic Cerebellar Astrocytoma Usually Reoccur?

My son (17 years) underwent surgery for obstructive hydrocephalus(VP shunt) follwed by a midline suboccipital craniotomy for total removal of pilocytic cerebellar astrocytoma. in jan 2011 at Apollo Sp. Hospitals, Chennai. Is there any chance of future recurrence?
