Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My grandson this month started taking a higher dose of Dextroamp-amphet ER (20 MG cap) he has been on a lower dose for about 2 years. Now he is crying for no reason is this a side effect of the raise in the dose of the med? If it is it temporary or is there something we can do to make him more comfortable and happy again?
This medication has a stimulant effect and is not normally associated with a depressed mood. It can be associated with dysphoria which is a discomfort or general unease with some aspect of life.
It may be best for him to go back to his doctor for review.
I hope this helps
