Hi. My name is Amanda. I m 34. I had a hysterectomy when I was 25 because of cancer. I believe I started going threw menopause about 5 years ago. I don t take any dr. prescribed medication right now. I have suffered with anxiety and depression for many years but the last 5 years it has made it hard to leave the house and do normal activities. I do have a Canadian Mental Health Worker who is great and has helped me out a lot. I stared getting painful lumps about 2 and a half years ago. 34 lumps popped out on my upper legs with in 3 months making it very painful to stand. I weighed around 115 to 120 in weight at the time, now I weight about 200 to 210. Seeing that I m only 5 3 it s a huge problem. I haven t changed eating habits if anything I eat less, as I hate gaining more weight and my bowls hate me as is. Now I have very painful lumps on my arms (4), my abdomen (5) and I don t even know how many on my legs. I have very little memory anymore, I mine as well be in a bed beside my grandmother. My stomach will bloat out 10 pant sizes bigger over night, when the lumps in my stomach are acting up. My family and I believe I might have Dercum s disease. I ve told my family doctor but he s not sure where to send me. I live in Ontario Canada. I m trying to look for a path to go down to find out if this is what I have? What kind of specialist should I be going to see? And if possible do you know of a doctor in the province that knows or specializes with this disorder.
