Does Palpitation Require Medical Attention?

I have had palpitations infrequently for several months. It comes on for no apparent reason, nothing I can attribute it to and stays for just a few minutes. It started Friday and hasn t gone a way and I have a dry cough. 47 year old female non smoker no history of heart problems

Regarding your experience with palpitations that wax and wean I am suggesting that you are gradually developing the following differential diagnosis

Panic attack
Premenopausal episode
Hypertensive disease

In view of this please check your blood pressure and do the following test

Complete blood count
ECG

Meanwhile please see a cardiologist specialist and a psychologist for expert clinical evaluation as well adequate drug prescription

Studies have shown that not all patients with palpitations are pathological
