Does Passing Of Urine In Underwear By 3 Year Old Indicate UTI?

My 3 yr old daughter has been peeing in her underwear for the last week or so. There is no odor & she does not complain of it hurting. She s been potty trained for a year now, this has never happened before. Nothing has changed at home. Could she have a UTI?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Usually UTI also causes pain/discomfort while urination, with some abdominal pain / fever / nausea, especially so because it is already 1 week. Anyhow, to be sure, let us get her urine routine test done. Also, deworm her once by giving Albendazole if not done within last 6 months

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
