Does Peanut Butter Cause Constipation?

I ve haven t had a chance to read the online article about any connection of peanut butter and constipation. I m having, first time ever, bad constipation, and the only thing I m eating on a regular basis is Nutty Peanut Butter. It maybe something else, but I thought I start checking here. Phil

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Peanut butter is not normally associated with constipation.

Constipation is most commonly due to inadequate fiber intake, inadequate fluid intake and is also affected by decrease activity.

Treatment would involve using increased amounts of fruits and vegetables, whole grain foods, using at least 8 glasses of water daily and increasing physical activity.

Medication should only be used in the short term.

I hope this helps
