Does Persistent Lower Back Pain Cause Numbness In Lower Body?

Howdy I'm a 39 year old male who currently is suffering from lower back pain. I used to cycle to and from work for 5 years I stopped 2 years ago seems now my lower body has suffered from lack of strength and mobility. I question my lack of lower body strength has something to do with my current back pain. Is that possible?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent lower back pain cause numbness in lower body. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sciatica , URI , lower back injury , disc problem or muscle strain . Consult orthopedic surgeon if condition doesn't get well . Doctor may order CT scan, MRI along with physical examination and nerve conduction test .
