Does Persistent Swelling In Foot Indicate Broken Bone?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent swelling in foot . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like fracture , soft tissue injury like tendon or muscle or hematoma . I would suggest you to do icing for first 48 hours and after that do warm compresses and keep your foot elevated while lying down and takr proper rest . If condition doesn't get well then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order x-ray , CT scan and physical examination . Doctor may give plaster , , prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory along with that recommended physical therapy . Doctor may also drain hematoma .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
