Hi, my name is Adam I am 40 yo and have just found out I have a pituitary tumor affecting my testosterone levels my doctor wants to start me on t injections am I going to run into problems with this later in life also will low testosterone levels cause shortness of breath Thanks AdamQ

Pituitary gland in the brain is the control centre in the body for essentially all types of hormones. All hormones produced by all other glands in the body are controlled by the pituitary gland. Thus, any tumor or abnormality of this gland can lead to altered levels of various hormones. This includes testosterone. So it is quite possible to have low testosterone with pituitary tumors. Low testosterone can decrease your stamina and thus lead to shortness of breath on exertion. Otherwise there is no direct correlation.
