My mom past away this week. She has been going to the hospital for her potassium deficiency for a few months. She had several unexplained symptoms and her death certificate states she past from a ruptured aneurysm. She had been very ill because of the potassium deficiency so could there be any link between the two? She was also swollen beyond belief with edema, sharp pain in her entire body (legs especially), impaired vision, diarria, trouble swollowing, mood swings, heart palpitations...
Hello, Two important side effects of potassium deficiency on cardiovascular system are hypertension and ventricular arrythmias. Potassium deficiency ( HYPOKALEMIA ) doesn't result in rupturing of aneurysm. Thanks
