Does Prolonged Use Of Vitamin Supplements Affect Liver?
Since childhood..I don t like vegetables and so don t consume any. Hate the taste of them. Now I m 29 years old and taking daily vitamin supplements. Have been taking for the past 4 years on a regular day to day basis. Celin 500 (1 tablet), Evion 400 (1 capsule), Aquasol A (1 capsule). I take them in the morning and take them all together. My question is..am I overdoing the vitamin A and E? Is my liver going to be affected coz of prolonged use? I m not concerned about the vitamin C as I drink a lot of water and the excess passes out of the system.
Hello You are taking Vitamin "C". "A" & "E". While daily dosage of "A" is 1000 microg of retinoin and "E "is 10 mg of tocopherol. If you are taking extra doses , this may produce HYPERVITAMINOSIS "A' which causes anorexia, headache , hepatosplenomegaly scaly dermatitis, patchy loss of hairs, bone pain and hyperostosis . In my opinion get in blood examination for the level of "A" & "E" . Take these vitamins , whenever your body require , Irrational use is not good for health. Hope this will be useful for you. Vitamin E is also available in milk , eggs , meat beside vegetables , so need not to worry and don't take extra.
