Does Pulmonary Embolism Cause Pain In The Knees And Shin?

I had a pulmonary embolism almost 4 years ago and have been healthy since, for about a week now I have had very bad shin and knee pain, I remember one of my first doctors out of the hospital always checked my shins asking if I had pain, is this related to heart meds I am on?

hi sir/madam,actually pulmonary embolism is most commonly caused by deep venous thrombosis usually from legs.thrombus occurs in old age,prolonged sedentary or bedridden states like patients with lower limb paralysis,who underwent a major orthopedic procedure demanding bed rest for prolonged periods,patients with coagulation pathology etc.leg vein thrombosis symptoms are numbness and muscle cramps,pain,sometimes swelling in legs,intermittent claudication.pulmonary embolism perse doesnt cause pain in legs.take care.bye.
