Does Pus And Odor From The Dog Bite Site Need Medical Attention?
i got bitten by my neighbors great dane july 14. july 15 i went to to the er with fever vomitting and swelling of my thigh where the dog bit me..they gave me a tetnus shot and augmentin 875mg.. today july 17, i have puss with an odor draining from my leg. should i seek medical help again?

you have not mentioned about the rabies vaccine. if you have not opted for rabies vaccine, the first thing you have to do is start your rabies vaccine schedule immediately. pus from this bite wound is probably because of infection. you should consult the doctor again. start the antibiotic of different class like carbepenems. also keep in mind the anaerobic infection so, you should also start the antibiotics which covers the anerobic infection eg. metronidazole.
