Does "Levaquin" Cause Isthschemic Optic Neuropathy And Unconciousness?

I was on levaquin for 24 days in a 35 day span. I am also on remicade and methotrexate. I passed out while driving several days after finishing levaquin. I also developed isthschemic optic neuropathy during the time I was on levaquin. Could it have caused that also ?

hi,
it is possible that the long course of levaquin that you used might have caused optic atropy, however, it can not be told with certainity.
levaquin is known to produce peripheral nerve damage especially on long term use, and optic nerve damage has only been reported very rarely. A board of research is required to confirm levaquin as cause of optic neuropathy.
you may consult an opthalmologist for further details.
hope this helped.
