Does Rabies Manifest Years After A Dog Bite?
Hi Dr. Andrew, I hope you can answer this question for me. I used to get bitten by dog almost 10 years ago and it was bleeding a bit and I did not get a rabies or tetanus shot or anything, what I did is just clean the wound with alcohol, and today I told my mom about it, and she blamed me and said sometime rabies can kill people like years later after. Is it true? I will be really appreciate if you can answer this question for me, Thanks.

Yes, it can manifest any time diring life time, time may vary from one year to fifty years. Depend on rabies infection and suitable environmental condition,
