Does Receiving A Cortisone Shot Before Flying Cause Any Medical Issue?

Hello, I am due to have a cortisone injection into one of the joints in my foot to try to eliminate some inflammation that ive been battling for some months now. I am a high level athlete and am waiting to finish out my club season which ends on may 6th. i have a two week period of no play before i join with the national team in preparation for the world cup. It has been discussed that i get the injection on the 7th to give it time to work and not be active on it during the two week rest period. I am also flying from ireland to usa on the 8th may for 9 days. is there any issue with having the injetion on the 7th and flying on the 8th?
