Does Recurring Hives Post Intake Of Nuts Suggest Allergy?
I had a mild allergy to nuts when I was younger (severe hives), and outgrew it in middle school. I ate them for years and then one night experienced hives again after being sick. Could my allergy come back and possibly be worse than it was before (Anaphylaxis)?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....
As per your complain hives that are recurring with a history of having allergy to nuts can be due to it only while can also be related to other allergies.. First of all you should take anti allergics like Allegra or Benadryl to reduce the hives.. Secondly avoid intake of nuts.. You should also consult an Allergist and get evaluated and allergic tests like Food challenge test and RAST test can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly.. An immunotherapy can be given to you to reduce the severity of allergic reaction..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
